How to play
How do you play Snake Pit?
Snake Pit is a Nikoli-style puzzle where you divide the grid into connected snake regions by drawing along the border lines. Each cell in a snake shows its length. Circle clues mark the endpoints of longer snakes. Snakes cannot touch each other at borders, and no same-size snakes can be orthogonally adjacent.
What do the circles mean in Snake Pit?
Circle clues mark the endpoints of snakes with length 3 or more. These circles must be located at the degree-1 endpoints (where the snake has only one neighbor within its own region).
Are there any forbidden patterns in Snake Pit?
Yes: (1) No 2x2 blocks of the same snake, (2) No two same-size snakes can be orthogonally adjacent (share a border), (3) Each snake must be a single connected path with exactly two endpoints (except length 1 snakes).
